the word timed exclusive is so obvious that it isn't even funny...
"at this time"...
yeah I remember a Sony rep saying "we have no plans for a price drop at this time"....and like a week later the price dropped 100 bucks...
you have to realize the x-factor in the decision making here...
and that is all the standard Blu-ray players on the market...
if Sony drops the price of the PS3, that means that the Panasonic, Samsung, Sharp and Sony stand-alone Blu-ray players also have to drop in price among other Blu-ray brands...
...otherwise people will not even buy the stand-alone players and it will skew the sales of them as well....
..so the price drop for the PS3 re...
it could be an honest mistake...but I do agree, that does seem a bit odd...
well said scissor runner....the fact that you've been making too much sense in these responses is becoming redundant now ahaha...
and the train wreck analogy was spot on....you definitely have to pick your battles rather than just take the topic head on....
and there is a way to make the transition from 2D to 3D genuinely, but lots of game companies have struggled to do so...(see: recent Sonic games) even though I don't really hate the new Sonic game called Sonic Unl...
the whole idea of what you are saying sounds like whats going on in the world today...or even just the United States economy alone (not to sidetrack the entire topic)...
everything is about catching your eye and letting the BS run it's program while people who are told what is good and what isn't without researching for themselves are just eating it up..
[complain] yeah, I'm pissed that I spent over $1500 on my Sony 32" HD set (including the warranty) back in 2007 [/complain]
I can do it too...
I'm pretty sure they'll at least be breaking even on the PS3 if they bring it to $299 because the cost to manufacture the BD drive is significantly lower than it was this time last year...
not to mention the rest of the technology used to make the PS3...
but there's a chance they might be losing a little bit of money at the $299 price point, but will make that money back easily with game purchases, accessories and PSN purchases...
basically, the $299 pri...
exactly, I know plenty of people from "3rd world countries" and they are fine...they might be extreme on the haggling side because I used to sell ATM machines and I had to deal with a lot of people from India and Pakistan etc etc...
but yeah, they definitely fall victim to the US propaganda machine....
I still liked the Demo a lot and I know the game is great.....
[redundant]so yeah...I need that game....[/redundant].....also I need that game..
ahaha are you serious?...the point you try to make contradicts the term "profitability"
I still do not own this game....I own myself for only playing the demo...
this is a must own and every day that I do not have this game in my collection, I should find a place to stab on my body...
sike...but I need to own this game..
again, I appreciate the positive feedback here and it's good to see an article get pretty much all positive responses which makes me glad I wrote this...
I also didn't use enough bait to get more degrees because it's USUALLY (not always) the articles that bash something obviously which end up with lots of degrees...
I also didn't aim this towards getting lots of degrees, although it would have been nice for the website that I support...I just wanted to write about so...
exactly....developers want the PS3 to be affordable for everyone so they can rake in more money for DLC...
your suggestion only irritates the situation and makes the developers seem more like they get asshurt over things that are out of their control..
and the PS3 will drop soon, but the developers probably want to see a $199 price point instead of what will probably be a $299 price point..
I think that if the install base was a little better, the PS3 would have more leverage in scenario's like the FFXIII situation...
however, the PS3 sales are right on par with the 360 if you go by "since inception", but the 360 fans don't want to hear that because it doesn't support their argument...so they retaliate by calling that an excuse..
I thought that those numbers were facts....do you really expect the PS3 sales to be right where the 360 is having c...
thanks for the response, I agree....I'm a big fan of the PSN downloads...
I just find it odd that the $9.99 games offer more of a challenge than the $59.99 games....
I'd like to see a combination of what the expensive games offer and what the PSN titles offer....
there are all kinds of reasons why kids become violent...
but for them to pull these ad's is just unfortunate....it's not that big a deal...
it's a shame, but I'm over it...it happens...
in todays age, kids mimic everything they see and with some of the stories I've seen hit the news lately, I'm shocked there is any sort of viral marketing period...
you can't sell or trade games that you have downloaded...this is one of the major reasons that Dev's have been teetering with the idea of just making games strictly for download so they get a more accurate number of games sold...
but this isn't what is best for the consumer....it's what is best for Developers...it also gives the retail chains one less product to offer in-store and one less customer...
with today's economy...is that what they really want?
alright, then this will be the 1st time in this generation that Sony will only have one SKU?....
I'm expecting there to be a $399 bundle SKU and a $299 standard SKU...
